SCHOOL PROGRAMS

What does a typical school assembly visit look like?

John arrives 60-minutes before the initial start time to begin set up. Students will typically begin taking their seats 10-minutes before the scheduled start time. The assembly program runs approximately 40-minutes. It then takes 30-minutes to pack and clean up.

If you book a multiple show package there is normally a 15-20 minute break as one group exits and the next group enters. While this is going on, John will be resetting for the next show.

Example Schedule:

Arrival - 8:00 am

1st Show - 9:00 am

Break/Audience Swap - 9:40-10:00 am

2nd Show - 10:00 am

Pack & Clean up - 10:40 - 11:10 am

What equipment is needed?

John's programs are fully self-contained. John provides everything from tables to a professional sound system. All that is needed is a working power source within 25ft of the performance space.

What grade levels are John's programs best for?

John's programs are recommended for students K-12. Content and programs are adapted to the grade level it is being presented to.

What size audience is best?

We want to make sure that everyone is seated comfortably so they can enjoy the show. The programs have been performed for as little as 20 students to as many as 500 at one time. We do recommend forming smaller groups based of grade levels (K-2, 3-5, etc.)

Where can John's programs be held?

Most programs are held in the school cafeteria, gym, library, and/or theater.

What size space is needed?

16ft wide and 10 ft deep (minimum) for best results. The programs can and have been set up in smaller setting such as libraries and classrooms.

What is the length of the show?

Most programs run approximately 40-minutes. Program lengths can be adapted to fit campus schedule.

Can we rebook John?

Many schools, libraries, and organizations book and rebook John year after year. John adds new magic and message to his programs each year. Your students will see something new from the magician they know and you trust.

How soon should I book?

It is never too early or too late to check availability. The sooner you book the more likely you will get your desired date and time!

Are there any discounts?

Yes. There are several ways you can SAVE when booking and even a way to score a FREE program. Contact us to discuss these options or check out John's Donation Option.

Can you provide more than one show in per visit?

Yes. Our multiple show packages allow you to accommodate each grade level or group while providing discounts for each additional show.

Can I team up with another campus/library/organization in my area?

Yes. This is the best way to SAVE when booking John. Program packages and travel can often be split between each group involved.

What is the cost?

John's programs are most likely within your budget. Each of our program packages have a published rate that varies according to your location. Contact us today for our pricing information.

Can you HOLD a date while I get approval?

Yes. We can put a temporary hold to insure a date doesn't get scooped up by someone else while you are waiting to make your decision. Holds are usually good for 48-hours. We can occasionally extend holds if needed.

Do we pay a deposit?

There is typically no deposit required to schedule. Exceptions include, but are not limited to, out-of-state shows. 

How far do you travel?

John is based out of Texas and has travelled the country performing.

Do you have "Just for Fun" shows?

Yes. A magic show is a great way to celebrate students accomplishments.

Do you have after school or evening programs?

Yes. These are GREAT for PTA/PTO meeting, festivals, and more. You can also SAVE when scheduling a daytime program while hosting another one after school hours.

Are programs available year-round?

Yes. 

LIBRARY PROGRAMS

What does a typical library visit look like?

John arrives 45-60 minutes before the initial start time to begin set up. Doors open and the audience can begin taking their seats 10-minutes before the scheduled start time. The magic show runs approximately 40-minutes. It then takes 30-minutes to pack and clean up.

John loves hanging out for a "Meet & Greet"  when the show ends. During this time he can take pictures, answer questions, and has an optional merchandise table.
